What would you expect at one of my cooking workshops?

Wednesday, October 25th, 2017

Hiya I am Lajina, I set up a business in October 2013 to teach home-style Indian cooking, I have six handmade spices to help you on your cooking journey.

I am a self-taught home cook, learning from TV, books and experimenting when I became a mum, to my son, Sam whose now 20.  Most of our meals are made from scratch and take very little planning or organising, I have so many tips and tricks to make happy, healthy curries.

The cooking workshops with me are ideal Christmas gifts, you can decide on a convenient date, there are so many to choose from!

Date for 2018 are as follows: March 10, April  7, June 2, Sept 29 and Oct 27 – please get in touch and I will raise an invoice for you.

The cost of the workshop is £109 per person with a £10 discount per person if 2 or more book onto the workshop.

The actual workshop takes place at Little Wenlock Village Hall at 10.30am, finishing at 4.00pm  in the morning we concentrate on making starters, an Indian salad and various dips.  We work together and this forms our lunch, I have a unique, hands-on style that is fun with lots of tips to make your favourite dishes.

After lunch, the cooks will discover the secrets of making tasty curries and an Indian bread to take home as their take away and I will demo how to make perfect rice.  The price includes all the spices, ingredients, lunch, take away and an e-book is emailed to you after the workshop.

Dishes are decided by YOU, I like to ask what they would order in an Indian restaurant and try my best to include at least one of your favourite dishes on the day.  Please speak to me about favourite dishes and any allergies when booking.
