Yule Adore a little Spice This Christmas – Day Seven

Thursday, December 7th, 2017

Day Seven of my Advent Calander is a blog full of love, a reminder of the beautiful people who do kind, selfless things each day, in the hope that nobody suffers the same heartache that they have had to endure.

My mentor and good friend, Chris Haycock,  the genius behind my digital marketing and brand, recently shared the photo attached to this blog and I knew today was the perfect day to share this with you.

Today, I cooked a lunch for a beautiful group of ladies who raised funds for a charity called CRY, a booking I took and was paid for, so I was just doing “doing my job”.

These beautiful, inspiring ladies raised funds whilst eating curry.  The point isn’t curry, it’s not about my business, it’s about life, about Christmas, the random act of kindness, the act of life, support and love.

My journey today has left me humbled, you see Sue, the lady that fundraises lost her only son to an undiagnosed heart condition, he was 17 and a half years young.  As I write this, I have text Sam (my son, 20 at uni), so many times to remind him how much I love him.

Sue, raises funds for CRY and cannot express her disappointment when youngsters’ hearts are booked in to be screened and don’t turn up.  The time, the resources, the opportunity.. just wasted.

To learn more, here’s a link to their website: https://www.c-r-y.org.uk/  It’s the miracle mums, their stories will make your heart stop still and you will realise that they are true salt of the earth.  Through this heartache, they work tirelessly to help others.  Sue, you are my true hero.

Maybe this Christmas we should all think about our spending in an action sense rather than a materialistic, money spending sense?
