A quick recipe for Spicy Nuts are one of my favourite nibbles and you can actually follow this tip with drained chickpeas.
Great little nibble to go with your tipple.
250g whole nuts, used mixed, almonds, cashews or one tin of drained chickpeas
1 level teaspoon of garam masala
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp light brown sugar
Sprinkle with salt and chaat masala
Have a foil-lined baking sheet ready.
Lightly roast the nuts or chickpeas in a big, non-stick frying pan or wok for about five minutes.
Pour in the sugar, garam masala and oil, give the pan a good swirl.
Now tip the nuts or chickpeas onto the baking sheet, sprinkle with the chaat masala and salt.
Allow to cool before serving with drinks.
Please don’t forget to get in touch with any questions you have for adding a little spice to Christmas.
